TTSGI CONFERENCE DETAILS

The TTSGI Board has been closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation. Considering many factors, the board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 TTSGI Annual Conference. Our first priority is to keep our members safe and with so many unknowns we could not guarantee this if we were to move forward with the 2020 Conference as originally planned.

We have worked with the conference hotel (DoubleTree) to hold our 2021 annual conference in Denver, CO. The date for this conference will be July 7-10, 2021. If you have registered for the 2020 conference, we will automatically move your registration to 2021. However, if you would like to receive a refund for your 2020 conference registration(s), you can request that here.

All sleeping room reservations made in the TTSGI hotel block will be automatically cancelled on May 2, 2020. No further action is required  to cancel a hotel room reservation. However, attendees will have to re-reserve their room for the 2021 conference. We will provide the reservation link to do this on January 2, 2021 to all registered TTSGI conference attendees. We will give registered conference attendees one month to make their hotel reservations first, before opening the hotel block on February 2, 2021 to remaining TTSGI members, the Facebook group, and the general public.

We recognize that canceling or postponing face-to-face meetings can intensify feelings of isolation for many twinless twins who are deeply hurting. To help address this issue, in lieu of this year’s annual conference, the conference committee is working on a remote plan. The goal  is to offer a webinar with a guest speaker, virtual breakout group sessions, and a remote memorial walk/run. These events will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 with the session times to be determined. There will be no charge for these virtual events; however, membership may be required to attend some or all of these virtual events. We will send more information as plans are solidified.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all navigate these uncharted waters. None of us knows exactly what to expect in the days to come, but we do know that as a community of healing, we will get through this unforeseen challenge together.
