Conferences are an incredible experience, as those who attended will attest to. I have heard so many times from so many twins how they will never miss any future conferences—the support, the friendship; the learning is beyond approach by any other means for a twinless twin.
I quickly found that this was the only group of people on the planet who understood. This was a turning point in my grief. I will always be eternally grateful for the Twinless Twin organization, and will make it a priority to make it to all the conferences. It is one thing in life I have to look forward to now.
This organization and all the other twinless twins helped me to continue and gave me strength. I learned the value of facing the pain and honoring my feelings.
Nobody understood when I said how “alone” I felt or expressed that I didn’t know how to be one…until I met other twinless twins.
