Resource articles are listed under the various headings in an effort to provide information on twin loss and its associated grief and healing. More research is needed: Bringing public awareness to the issues of twin loss will serve to move us forward in this right direction.

Twins experience the loss of their twin at different ages. Some twins lose their twin in-utero, before birth or close to birth, or later. The special needs of every group will be considered in providing resources.

The twin bond is strong and it is experienced during gestation when twins have been observed hugging, kicking and interacting in a way only a twin can understand. The lack of validation and acknowledgement that early loss twins experience makes bereavement difficult.
