Twin Loss Research
For The Healthcare Professional:
Twinless Twins is a support group for twins (and other multiples) who
have lost their twin due to death or estrangement. One of our goals is
to increase awareness and provide support for twinless twins around the
world.
Twin loss poses a unique challenge for the surviving twin. Not only is
their closest relationship severed, but very often, their identity is
threatened as well. Their grief is easier to bear when shared and
supported by other twinless twins.
There is a lack of research being done on the implications of twin loss
on the surviving twin, in-utero loss and the loss experienced in
multiples in particular. Please contact TTSGI if you are aware of new research as it becomes
available. |
